Did you know…
… that the tourist board in Herzogenburg offers you bicycles for rent. Up to an entire week, and for free. All we need from you is an ID card. You can rent the bicycles from Monday to Friday from 9-12 a.m. and 2-5 p.m., on Saturday from 9-12 a.m.

There's much to discover along and around the Traisental cycling route...
Cycling route "Tullnerfeld Radweg"
Traismauer - Sitzenberg-Reidling (35 km). With his friends, the well known composer Franz Schubert spent several summers in Atzenbrugg. This is where the Tullnerfeld Radweg cycling route will lead you. The "Ahrenberger" and "Eichberger" cellar lanes invite you to rest at one of their numerous Heurigen taverns. Sitzenberg-Reidling offers you a beautiful castle, a castle lake with fitness parcours, the possibility to take a bath and a carp trail.
Cycling route "Weinberg-Radweg"
Danube cycling route - Nußdorf - Inzersdorf-Getzersdorf - Traisen (14 km)
Heurigen village Wagram with local shops, museum of local history Nussdorf, Heurigen village Inzersdorf-Getzersdorf with the Renaissance castle Walpersdorf and the Lower Austrian Shrine Route.
Additionally, you can visit the weather cross next to Nussdorf and the vantage point (380m) near Theyern.
Cycling route "Traisental-Donau-Radweg"
St. Andrä - Altenwörth (30 km)
Ancient monastery church in St. Andrä, farmer's museum owned by the family Sonnleitner, castle museum Heiligenkreuz; Sitzenberg-Reidling with its castle, the castle lake and the fitness parcours.
Cycling routes "Kapellner Radwege"
Along fields and forests, three newly marked loop routes (402, 403 and 411) will guide you around Kapelln, the geographical central point of Lower Austria.

Apart from the enchanting landscape, the Traisental offers you a lot of "culture", too! Feel free to visith the following museums and attractions along the five cycling routes:
Monastery Herzogenburg with monasterial church and art treasures. Open from April till October, groups are welcomed over the entire year after prior registration, guided tours daily at 9.30, 11 a.m. and 1.30, 3, 4.30 p.m. Information: +43 (0)2782/831 13, +43 (0)2782/833 21 (tourist board)
